- Introduce yourself shortly.
Heyaaa! I’m a green-eyed girl named Kaisa. I’m exactly 20 years 9 months and 22 days old. I have four horns with what I use to run through walls and two fires burning brightly inside my heart. At least that’s what the Chinese calendar says about my birth time. I’m an energetic and passionate soul living in this cold and dark North-Estonian climate. What do I do exactly? I love exploring the nature, hiking, doing sports and organising events. I work for a luxury fashion brand called Max Mara and I value the people close to me the most.
2. Three facts about yourself.
- I will never let down the ones who are loyal and respectful to me. You could even call me a warrior.
- It’s hard to find someone more impatient than me.
- I never fake anything – I stay true to myself all the way.
3. Why did you choose EBS and how did you end up in the Student Council?
I’ve been a leader since I was born and I knew by the end of primary school that sooner or later I will end up at EBS. It’s where I belong and it will provide for me in the future as well. I joined the Student Council because I heard there was a shortage of people in the Sport field and I thought that a sport enthusiast like myself would be a perfect fit. Obviously, I’ve helped them a lot :))).
4. You actively organise the sport events for EBS – what do you enjoy the most about it?
EXPERIENCE is the best gift anyone could receive. I excel at organizing and delegating and providing an opportunity for the ebsters to represent our school at various competitions is what brings fame to a great school. The only downside is that we don’t have that many participants. EBS is a school for winners, they just don’t know it yet! 😉
5. As the leader of the organisational team for the semester, what’s your motto and how do you plan on leading your team?
I use my spunky attitude to lead the EVENTS team and inspire them to be more enthusiastic. I stay honest and will always be someone they can count on. A good leader is also a great listener. I lead them by setting an example. I never demand anything I couldn’t do myself.
My motto is: “A leader leads by example, not by force”.
6. What’s the most stressful thing about event organising and how to overcome it?
The relationships between people. The ones who have a No-attitude for new proposals. The one who can’t leave their comfort zone. We’re all different. As many as there are people, there will be different opinions. You have to have a different approach for every personality type. That’s the way to achieve the best result. Just keep calm and stick to yourself – luckily, I’m good at that.
7. Give us three tips to organise an event better!
Accept criticism that’s based on feedback.
Organise! Be courageous!
Most importantly: know how to delegate!
8. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To never grow old.
Wonder why? If I’m scared of anything besides snakes, it would be of getting old. Forgetting lovely memories, losing your energy… It makes me sad even thinking about it.
9. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself as a successful businesswoman who’s still studying, developing and travelling around the world. I see myself reaching higher and improving. I want to have a voice that’s being heard.
I have a husband, four dogs whose names all end with Y (haha, it’s a thing for me) and probably a school-aged precious son or daughter. We’d be living in a nice house with two damn good cars in front of it. An SUV for me and the other would be whatever my husband prefers. I see us exploring the nature and still offering the WOW-factor to others as we do now by organising cool events and hikes.
10. A quote that inspires you.
I have quite a few due to my impatient nature. So here are a few of them:
Knowledge is power, but enthusiasm pulls the switch.
Leaders don’t create followers. They create more leaders.
Do what is right, not what is easy.
Soft people bleed first. WORD!
Always be smart enough to know what battles to fight.
Well, I think that’s enough of those. Now, let’s make it so that you can learn something useful from my smart words and maybe be inspired by one of the quotes. Be well and always kick ass!
