Holaaaaa, I am Karim from Helsinki, Finland. I am currently doing my last year of Bachelors here in Estonian Business School.
How can one have as positive attitude as you?
Hmm, chill is the key! And there is a saying “if you concentrate too much on the bad, you won’t have time to enjoy the good”, so I changed that to “if you concentrate only on the good, you won’t notice the bad”. It has worked well so far.
Please, explain the legendary “take the fire exit” quote?
Take the fire exit started from when I was with the Erasmus students last semester. Whenever we were chilling there was one person who started to stress about some random stuff so we asked him to take fire exit out the window. It is basically a nice way of saying ‘chill out, bro’.
If you had to teach one of the subjects in EBS, what would it be?
If I could teach anything at EBS it would be something to do with communicating with people from different countries, I get along really well with people from different cultures.
Which DJ would be playing at your house party if there were no limits?
If I could have anyone playing then it would be CARL CROX, I really love that guy.
Your favourite part about living in Tallinn?
The best part about Tallinn is that it is small, which makes it very cosy and easy to meet friends, in fact there are no distances too long to travel even if someone lives on another side of the city. The old town feels like stepping back to medieval times, I love it.
If your dog were a famous human being, who would he be?
I will say Jack Sparrow because for his attitude, Snoop Dog because of his chill attitude.
Name two foods you can’t live without?
PIZZA and BEER!!!
What trip has been the coolest so far and where do you look forward traveling to?
My favourite trip? Oh, it is really hard. I think I have enjoyed every single one so far. I travel a lot to meet all the friends I have met over the years. Usually around 2-3 times a year, and I don’t think I have had any trips that I have not enjoyed so far.
But last summer I fell in love with Barcelona. I came back to Finland one week later and bought the next flight back there.
I look forward to my trip to Amsterdam this week, we are meeting with some of the boys from last semester.
Words to live by?
